Resident Assistant Curator Position: It is a live/work situation beginning September 1, 2009. Rent free small one bedroom apartment attached to the gallery. Assistant must pay utilities on apartment; gas, electric and phone. Position includes an opportunity to curate an exhibition in either Spring or Fall of the following year and inclusion in all promotional material. The assistant will be required to work 40 hours a month; half the gallery sitting hours, opening receptions, drop-off of promotional literature, and PR. There are 4 to 5 exhibits a year, we are closed mid-summer and mid-winter.

Requirements - Recent graduate of/or current enrollment in a curatorial program or art history program in a major institution in Philadelphia (BA or MA),  experience with exhibit running (installation, opening receptions and public relations), knowledge of the contemporary arts and Philadelphia artists.
